Finally got this project done! A kitchen microwave stand, build mainly for the keurig coffee stuff!Used a vintage parts cabinet for the main piece.

My first Bowl

I have much pleasure in presenting my first bowl.
Its constructed from a variety of timbers and some synthetic materialI am not sure of the wood but its possibly alder snicker snickerI cannot tell you the construction method as its a closely guarded secret only the birds may know.I can say we are very pleased with it and it will have pride of place in our home .You know the saying “watch the dickie bird.Well I was going to take more pictures of the construction but I couldnt get the dickie bird in my camera to work

Military Home sign

My son is an officer in the Canadian Military (Major). He and his family recently left Ottawa for a posting to another CF base in Ontario.He and his wife requested that I carve a hanging sign to display their various postings and the dates associated with them.Carved in Hickory… base coat of shellac… painted letters… top coat of Arm-R-Seal (General Paint).It has already been shipped to their new home and will greet them as they move into their new home.Fun project.
