An absolute truth in life! A new pattern created using InkScape and cut in 1/2” red oak using a Dewalt 788 scroll saw w/Flying Dutchman UltraReverse #5 blades. Blue painter's tape on wood, then spray adhesive to affix pattern. The font is named Sweet Sorrow and found at DaFont.comThanks for looking!

Mission Kitchen Light

This is a kitchen light I made a while back but wasnt able to post for technical reasons. Its made out of red oak, stained, a few coats of danish oil and lacquer. I used a 4' LED light I bought at Lowes. The transluscent panels are mica, a favorite of mine for lighting. Of course the rafters in the ceiling ran parallel to the light in the wrong place so I had to crawl up into the attic to attach a brace between the trusses. I should have framed the bottom panels and made them removable for cleaning from below, but I guess hindsight is 20\20.
